MS is our road trip car, for monthly long distance family visits. Other EVs are used for all local trips (stores, post office, etc) Drive unit was replaced due to bearing noise at 70+ mph as well as "milling sound"; it was not a functional failure. First pack replacement was due to contactor welding, not battery failure. The contactors assembly is a sub-assembly within the pack, it was most expedient to replace the whole pack, given where it failed (300 miles from home). Need more space |
